My first 5k with the new Nike device

First run with Nike plus iPod

Today I made my first 'run' (hobble and walk) with my iPod Nano and Nike plus doo-dad. It's pretty neat. A receiver connects to the iPod, and a transmitter goes into your shoe. It tracks your time and mileage, and iTunes uploads the data the next time you plug your iPod in to the computer. Here is my first run, a humble beginning:



I'm excited about it and think it'll be a real motivator.

Volkswagen Year Model

I found out this evening that the Volkswagen Beetle I've been calling a 1957 model is actually a 1956, produced in January of 1956. The engine also matches that timeframe, making it very likely the original engine.

Sadly, I also discovered some rust in both heater channels. At this point it looks like I might be able to patch it, but I won't know until I look into it a little more deeply.

iPod stolen!!!

My iPod was stolen last Monday night (Memorial Day holiday). I commute about 45 minutes to work and used it all the time, so I'm depressed. I'm trying to get another free one. Here's the link:
